Hooked Heartwood Curls

Shaved by hand, curl by curl — Grade A resin.
Workers hook the resin out of a heartwood block along the grain; what comes away is a thin curled shaving, dense and dark. It is the most expensive form to buy by weight and the least forgiving to grade — so we sort in front of the camera and send the video with each lot. Use it for high-end blending or burn it straight.
